Hey Cameron, I enjoy your writings. I wanted to know what Wilderness Athelete drink mix you use in your bladder when on a backcountry hunt, the Hydromax or the Alert? I’ve heard of some people mixing them in their bladder, which do you think is best? thanks bud.

Hi Cameron
Would you be so kind to comment on the following,

What size peep do you use?, and do you aim with the body of yor sight in the centre of the peep or do aim with the individual yardage pin in the centre of your peep?

Hello Cameron Hanes
Thank you for the excellent book Backcountry Bowhunting. I thought I was the only person mad another to wonder for days in the backcountry looking for deer/game. Off to Quebec next month hunting caribou not a backcountry hunt but it should be good anyway. When is the next book coming out? If you ever fill the need to come to Australia let me no I have place to hunt Deer, Pigs,Water Buffalo and Scrub Bulls.
PS. A photo of the new Australia No. 1 Sambar Deer I shot on a backcountry hunt last year at http://www.trophytakers.org/main.htm
All the best in Bowhunting

Great equipment means more comfort and better sleep, which in turn helps a guy hunt harder and longer. You’ve definetly got all the right gear. I sure do like the my Leica Geovids — dont have to carry a range finder anymore. Have you tried them? I’m gonna put the Badlands away this year and try the Eberlstock J104 for a good day\meat pack. Have you had any experience with the Eberlstock line?
